It was a dilemna last night – what do you do. My beloved Pittsburgh Steelers were playing against a team whose colors are purple and gold. Who was I to route for? I have loved the Steelers since the early 70′s. My first car was named after the famous Steelers player Louis Lipps – he was so fast and could dart through traffic just like my first car which I fondly named Louey.

So, last night I was torn. But all was right with the world. It was an amazing game with lots of drama and a win in overtime. What more can you ask for. The dilemna is over for now.

I recently signed up for a Facebook page. Until that point in time I felt as though I was aging gracefully – nothing a little miss clairol couldn’t assist with. But then I looked up my fellow high school members and to my surprise there were about 50 old people listed on that members page. Who were all these old people? Everyone looked like my parents age ( with the exception of Lori Dewey and Cynthia Flash – they look great! ). So, it finally hit me – I am getting old. I have been ignoring that fact pretty soundly for the past 15 years but I guess I am ready to embrace it.

But I do think our generation is smashing some of the old rules. We are living longer and for most of us – looking better and feeling better longer. I am not going to take this aging thing lying down.

I liked the idea of red wine being healthy for me – but drinking red wine because it is “healthy for me” is like saying I’m not overweight, I’m just “big boned”. Drink a really good glass of red wine with a good friend because you enjoy it, savor that dark chocolate because it tastes good, go on a hike through a rainforest because it is beautiful and invigorating. Live your life fully. But get your supplements in a condensed, low caloric manner.

Here is one way to get the benefit of 3000 glasses of wine without the calories or the headache.

Today my wii fit age is 32! I am not a Yoga Master yet but am working on it.

Wii Fit. Love it.

If you have been to Paris then I would love to hear from you. Where did you go and what was your favorite part of your trip.

Years ago I decided that I must visit Paris but then in a patriotic fervor I took my postcard of the Eiffel Tower down off the fridge and stopped eating french bread. I am over that now and have reignited a desire to make the trip.

Part of this is I love travelling to Literary locales. Most of my travels have been inspired by great stories that I have read or by authors that I love. I love going to places that have inspired genious and great emotion.

Hemingways Paris is one of my favorite travel books so I have inlcuded this link below. I would love to hear from you – do you have a favorite book that has inspired great travels? Or do you have input on a trip to Paris.
