On my travels yesterday I saw a huge bag of garbage tossed very close to a garbage deposit ( but just not quite all the way into the garbage bin ). So, it was truly trash. But the thing that made me take a second look was the contents of the garbage. It was all higher priced, whole earth, all grain, natural, “good for you” food that is mostly purchased at specialty health food stores or Trader Joes. So, here is someone that clearly cares about themselves and their body but does not seem to give a rip about the planet. Not only did they not recycle their paper products but they also did not even take the 5 steps further to properly dispose of their unrecycled trash.
This totally seems to miss the bigger picture – we can take care of ourselves and our environment even better by
- recycling
- at least properly disposing of trash
- eating whole foods that come in less wrapping
- eating dense nutrients – since we definitely do not work out as much as we used to and there is also less wrapping to dispose of in dense nutrients
- Taking our vitamins and saying our prayers
Don’t do this for show. Actually, no one is watching. Do this because it makes you feel better, keeps you healthier and helps your community.

Blue is my favorite color and this particular sunset provided some of the most amazing pinks that turned into the most amazing blues that swirled in the sky with the clouds so that it almost looked like a watercolor painting happening in front of my very own eyes.

My Aunt Maria from Naples Italy introduced a great phrase to our family years ago
Andiamo qua – Andiamo là
The translation for this in english is “We go here, we go there”. I come from a long line of travellers.
I love going on new adventures and have had the great fortune to have gone on several great adventures with some amazing people.
This blog will recount several of those great adventures mixed in with plans for future travels as well.
So, until the next stop – sleep well my friend and dream of large women (The Princess Bride)
