Mini Bio
From Pong to Blockchain: Mary's career has been a string of technology projects that began with a game of Pong and led to creating webpages in the 90's, developing social media strategies in the 00's, and becoming a Blockchain advocate in the 10's.
In the mid 90's Mary founded the StayatHomeMom.com website as a place
for moms to connect and talk about their favorite books and basically
anything but changing diapers. In 1998 she became involved as a
volunteer with Wired Safety to keep our kids safe online and in 2008
co-founded Wired Moms along with the founder of Wired Safety, Parry
Aftab, to encourage Moms to embrace the technologies that make our lives
easier and more fun.
A highlight of the new millennium was being asked to be a guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show discussing the topic of connecting with your kids. Some of her guest speaking engagements have included Wired Safety's StopCyberbullying roundtable held in Washington DC, Build-a-Bear Connecting in the CyBear Century held at BABW Headquarters in St. Louis Missouri and the Wired Moms Summit held at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond Washington. One of the highlights of these adventures was an when Mary interviewed Jane Lynch about Jane's work on a Public Service Announcement on Distracted Driving.
