Poem in Your Pocket Day

April 18 is Poem in Your Pocket Day.

I love this.

We are big fans of the Haiku poetic format

If you are well versed in the way of the Haiku then you always have a poem in your pocket.  This last sentence was not a Haiku.  One of the great things about the Haiku is that they are also typically tweetable.

Not surprisingly New York City is celebrating Poem in Your Pocket Day.  Click HERE for more information on the celebrations in NYC.

My Grandfather always carried a bible verse with him.  This could be considered poetry.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31

Celebrate Today!
Poem in Your Pocket Day
Your Heart will Rejoice.

(yep - that's a Haiku)
